Cultus Lake Waterpark
The Cultus Lake Waterpark is a massive fun facility, one of the biggest in British Columbia. It includes incredible features like water slides, splash areas, picnic tables, and forested grasslands. So, there is a feature for every age group.
It constitutes waterslides everywhere, with grasslands in the middle and forest at the edges. The Waterpark is in Cultus Lake, a village at 4150 Columbia Valley Highway. This highway is only 15-minutes away from the Trans-Canada Highway.
The Cultus Lake Waterpark is usually open from June up until September, allowing visitors from about 9 am to 6 pm. Visitors can also check the designated schedule before going.
1. Twilight Passes
This feature is only available during the last 3 hours of every day. These late hours range from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. On extended days, the Twilight Pass starts as early as 2:30 pm. This fun activity is usually more expensive during weekends.
2. Night Sliding
This right here is one of the exciting variants available in the Cultus Lake Waterpark. At night, the activity continues from 8:00 pm to midnight at stipulated times of the year. Visitors also get to enjoy the lighting glory of the Waterpark after sunset.
3. Free Concerts
The Cultus Lake Waterpark has a lot of free and spacious land, usually hosting events and concerts. These concerts are free, creating moments to remember with legendary bands like North Country Gentlemen, Terrance Richmond, Pleasant Trees, and Swamp Honey. Details of the bands performing each year become available before the time of the concert.
What is a waterpark without slides? The Cultus Lake Waterpark does more than that as it provides a fantastic variety of slides. The difference is based on length, size, speed, and structure. There are small, long, fast, crazy fast, straight, and zigzag slides. Some slides can take only one person per time, while others allow up to 5 riders.

Types of Waterslides
Some of the favorite waterslides at the Cultus Lake Waterpark are as follows;
1. Colossal Canyon
The name gives away what this water slide is all about already. It is a giant round slide that can fit up to 5 individuals.
2. Radical Rapids
This white waterslide contains inner tubes, making it suitable for both single and double riders. The Radical Rapids exposes participants to a unique ride.
3. Tubular Terror
This type of waterslide consists of 3 different inner ones. There is the black one, which keeps riders entirely in the dark. The blue one is also half-lit, and then the last one is all open. How much fun that would be! The Tubular Terror Waterslides feature inflatables to ease the ride.
4. Valley of Fear
The Valley of Fear is one waterslide to look out for. It is a scary ride that takes one straight down and then up. This waterslide goes back and forth until you get to the end, with riders sitting on a tube.

Facilities in the Cultus Lake Waterpark
1. Warm-Up Tubes
This facility is present for riders to practice the waters’ feel before going for daring rides. It is also the perfect place for kids to splash around.
2. Picnic Areas
The waterpark has shaded areas with beautiful grasslands that can host a fantastic picnic. Miscellaneous items like lawn chairs, umbrellas, and BBQs are available for rent. The Cultus Lake Waterpark does not allow the use of outdoor cooking equipment, and having these items for your picnic would make it a fantastic experience.
3. Food Outlets
This landmark features stores and stands where visitors can get ice cream and all kinds of snacks. You don’t want to go on that wild ride down the waterslide on an empty stomach. Please note that alcohol is not permitted in the Cultus Lake Waterpark and if a visitor is bringing beverages, they must be commercially labelled and well-sealed. Also, visitors are not allowed to smoke within the premises.
4. Parking Space
The Cultus Lake Waterpark features a parking space, which is very convenient and affordable. The price is almost double when you park somewhere else. To add, coming early increases your chances of getting a very convenient parking space.
Points to Note
The Cultus Lake Waterpark has a no-refund policy. So, visitors do not get a refund on days when the park has to close early, or the weather turns a bit extreme.
The best time to enjoy the Cultus Lake Waterpark is on a hot sunny day. Nonetheless, do not forget to bring your sunscreen, sunhats, or sunglasses because it can get scorching.
