Volunteers
The operation of the Chilliwack Cultural Centre primarily depends on volunteers. This centre features four groups of volunteers:
1. Guest Services Volunteers
The tasks of these volunteers include serving at the concession, ushering, collecting tickets, and dishing out the program. Their services revolve around guests and making them comfortable. In exchange for their essential work, they get free access to some of these shows and performances. They may also stay for shifts.
2. Technical Volunteers
These volunteers assist the technical director in putting up a great show. Their help comes in the aspect of lighting, sound, dressing, stage props, and every other technical element of a sensational show. These volunteers also get instant access to these great shows and performances.
3. Program Volunteers
This group helps run the Chilliwack Cultural Centre programs, including the open art studios and kid camps. These volunteers get credit for every hour of volunteering, which they can use for taking a class.
4. Office Volunteers
These ones stay in the office and help with emails, newsletters, and other office duties. Yes, the Chilliwack Cultural Centre includes offices.
